Connecticut's Red Flag Warning, meaning the dry conditions, low humidity and gusty winds could lead to rapid fire spread, was extended to Saturday evening.

Massachusetts is under a red flag warning​ as the state continues to see an unprecedented number of brush fires.

A red flag warning is in effect for Connecticut on Friday, high temperatures will be near 60 degrees and we’ll see more sun than clouds in the afternoon. Northwestern Connecticut is now in a severe drought while most of the rest of the state is in a moderate drought.

We are seeing a late surge in brush fires across the state due to extremely dry conditions. Friday's gusty winds are only adding to the danger.

PENNSYLVANIA, USA — A Stormtracker 16 Weather Impact Alert has been issued due to a Red Flag Warning covering northeastern Pennsylvania. A Red Flag Warning is in affect for Carbon and Monore Counties from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

Temperatures warm quickly Saturday with highs returning to the middle and upper 50s in the hills and around 60 in the valley. It will be a First Alert Weather Day again due to the Red Flag Warning. Northwest wind will increase to 10-15mph with gusts to 20-30mph through the early evening.

A Red Flag Warning​ is back in effect for much of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, as the fire threat remains high.
