A different investigation discovered that the same 12-year-old is the suspect in another crime and was charged with armed robbery. Around 2 p.m. March 1, 2024, deputies were called for an incident of “strong armed robbery” at the 2200 block of East Boundary Road, the sheriff’s department said.

The Richland County Sheriff's Department arrested a 12-year-old in connection to a shooting and armed robbery.

A guard at a California prison was attacked by an inmate Thursday evening in what officials are investigating as an attempted homicide. The attack happened around 6:25 p.m. at Mule Creek State Prison in Amador County.

The same child also faces an armed robbery charge for an incident that happened in March 2024 on East Boundary Road.

A man has been charged with attempted murder, after another man was shot in Birmingham. The shooting happened in Villa Road, Lozells, on Sunday morning, West Midlands Police said. A man in his 30s remained in hospital on Friday with injuries which were not believed to be life-threatening,

The incident led Rumford police to issue a shelter-in-place in the area, and a family lost its home in the fire.

The charges brought against Billy Morvent, 59, Thursday evening, are in addition to three counts of criminal threatening with a deadly weapon and aggravated criminal mischief.
