MLS broadcaster Taylor Twellman has been reinstated to the television booth after he was taken off a Nov. 9 playoff broadcast while the league investigated an alleged physical confrontation, The Athletic reported Friday.

A soccer commentator who was alleged to instigate a physical altercation has been cleared to return to the broadcast booth. Taylor Twellman missed the Nov. 9 call of Game 3 of the Miami-Atlanta series for Apple TV+ while MLS investigated a union grievance filed against Twellman by an audio technician.

The former MLS star was on the air for the second game of the series but was pulled for the deciding game last weekend.

Twellman, removed from commentary for one game, has been cleared to resume duties following "incidental contact" with a production assistant

The alleged incident occurred around game one of the Eastern Conference quarterfinals between Miami and Atlanta United on October 25

The broadcast of Inter Miami's final game of the 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs sounded a little different, not just because of the stunned silence at Chase Stadium when Lionel Messi's team crashed out to underdog Atlanta United.

Twellman had previously been removed from calling matches after that technician alleged that he and Twellman had a physical altercation.
