Tensions flared in Bhopal's Jehangirabad area as a dispute over speeding bikes escalated into a violent clash between Sikh and Muslim communities, leaving six people injured.

The tensions began on Sunday, December 22, when a member of the Muslim community, Faiz, allegedly drove through a street dominated by the Sikhs in the area.

At least six people were injured in a violent clash between two communities in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. The conflict, which involved stone-throwing and sword-brandishing, took place in the Jehangirabad area's Old Grain Market locality—a mixed Sikh and Muslim area.

After this, an FIR was registered and Faiz was arrested. Police said that two groups of people had pelted stones and brandished swords before police rushed to the area and brought the situation under control.
